Saving file without empty cells
 
Inevitably when you are working in Excel, Excel will think cells are filled
when in fact you have deleted the contents. If I do a End/Home, the cursor is
on IA523. How do I save the file without including the rows and columns that
are now blank?

This became a problem when a macro opens the file and tries to move columns
left and an error message came up that Excel could not move columns off the
spreadsheet.

Excel always has all those rows and columns. You can't delete them.

But if ctrl-end takes you way past what you think should be the last used cell,
take a look at Debra Dalgleish's site:
