Hi friends,
at times I may need to send mass mails which could be confidential in nature. For example, I may need to send pay hike letters to A,BC,D and E with different salaries, the letter format being the same. Now, normally I could use the regular mail merge facility between word and excel and send the letters as a word attachment. (using merge to email). This could be opened by anybody. Thus an unauthorized person may get to see the contents of the letter. Can I do the following? 1. Mail merge into a PDF doc? This is basically to make it difficult to alter the contents, if not impossible. 2. Have a password for each recipient which only the recipient knows? Is this possible? Regards Krishna |

I don't know if I understand you correctly...
Are you sending all of the attachments to all of the people? "Sai Krishna" wrote: Hi friends, at times I may need to send mass mails which could be confidential in nature. ![]() Yeah, as an attachment and to only to a limited list of people and not to all. It could be a salary hike letter in a standard format with various fields like name, basic pay, conveyance allowance and so on. Excel will have the name, salary break up and the email of the recipient. The information should merge into a PDF attachment and be delivered into the mail box of the recipient. The intended recipient should be able to open the attachment with a password that is unique. An example is you receive statements of your credit card which you open with your PIN. Now is this possible? If so how? This will greatly help reducing printing work whenever there is a pay hike. regards sai krishna "JNW" wrote: I don't know if I understand you correctly...
