I got this message when I was trying to add something on footer.
"The header or footer cannot be no longer than 255 characters. Delete some text or make formatting less complex." The question is that I've used identical format and number of characters on sheet 1 and it worked fine..but on sheet 2 it gives me above message. - I have the same header on both sheet 1 and sheet 2. Is there any way to override or fool this problem because I really don't want to omit or change any of the contents of footer..Thanks |

Do you have any extra characters in the other parts of the footer?
Do you have any different formatting (those formatting instructions count, too!) in the problem worksheet's footer? annoni wrote: I got this message when I was trying to add something on footer. Try recording a macro when you change the footers for each page.
Do you get the same code (including the formatting strings) in both parts of the macro? annoni wrote: No, They are exactly the same...Format and characters...strange..
