Default protecting several parts of a worksheet in Excel 2007

I want to protect everything in a worksheet expect 2 non-adjacent columns and
the title. I can only only seem to protect one of three, but not all three.
Your help is appreciated.

Default protecting several parts of a worksheet in Excel 2007

While you should be able to do all of this in one step, easier to explain
here using one area at a time.

Basically you need to put the worksheet into unprotected state (Tools |
Protection | Unprotect and provide password if required). Start by selecting
all the cells on the sheet by clicking the blank gray button to the left of
the "A" column indicator and above the "1" row indicator.

Use Format | Cells and go to the [Protection] tab and click on the checkbox
next to "Locked" until it has a solid black x/check mark in it. Right now
all of the cells on the sheet will be locked/protected once the sheet is put
back into protected mode. Click OK and go back to the sheet.

Select a column/group of cells that you want to be UNlocked when the sheet
is protected. Again use Format | Cells [Protection] and clear the checkmark
next to the "Locked" indicator. Click OK. Repeat this for all areas/groups
of cells you want to be unlocked when the sheet is in protected mode.

Tie it all up by using Tools | Protection | Protect Sheet - deciding whether
or not to assign a password at the last stage.

Hope this helps some.
