I have two columns of data containing account numbers. One column contains
over 4000 accounts in "long format," with extra digits at the front and back ends of the account number. The other column contains 300 "short format" account numbers, with abbreviated versions of the accounts (the extra digits are ommitted). I need to match the "short format" accounts with their "long format" counterparts - how can I do this without having to look for each match individually with my eyeballs? |
