After you've inserted the Word document object, right click on the object and
select FORMAT OBJECT from the popup menu. Click the properties tab and click the option button DON'T MOVE OR SIZE WITH CELLS This anchors the object at the current position in the workbook. -- Kevin Backmann "office user" wrote: Is there a way to paste a Word Document into Excel so it doesn't float around the page? Thanks Kevin. I tried that but it still moves. Did I do something wrong?

Moves in what way? If it's selected and you click and drag the object
somewhere it will move, regardless of property settings. You could lock the object in place, but it would require that you format the worksheet by indicating what cells are unprotected (so you can enter data into them) and which cells are protected and then turn protection on for the worksheet the Word document is in. Password would be optional -- Kevin Backmann "office user" wrote: Thanks Kevin. I tried that but it still moves. Did I do something wrong?
