Default how do I limit the number of rows when exporting data into excel?

WHEN I EXPORT FROM QUICKBOOKS, THE WORKSHEET OPENS WITH THE 65,540 ROWS.
This creates issues when manipulating the worksheet columns.

How does the number of "rows" create issues for manipulating "columns"?
Please explain.

Apparently this is why the excel locks up when I attempt to delete a column,
there are two may rows. If I start a new workbook, without an export from
Quickbooks, I do not have this issue.

Still not sure I understand your dilemna but I think you're export is filling
all 65,000+ rows in the excel sheet, right. One possible solution would be
to upgrade to Excel 2007. It has 1,048,576 rows which is a lot! But if that
is not possible, you'll probably have to break your export in to groups, like
fiscal years, or fiscal quarters if a year is too much. Something like that.
