Default Drop down lists

im updating my database and there are several columns that have drop down
boxes and i use the auto filter a lot to sort the data so when its all sorted
it throws the sources/info in the drop down boxes out, so nothin appears how
do you have all the information on another sheet so that dont happen

Default Drop down lists

Sarah
I think you are asking if and how you can have a list in one sheet and
use that list in a Data Validation cell in another sheet. Is that right?
If so, yes, you can. First, name the list, say, MyList. Then when you
setup the Data Validation cell, select List, then in the source box, type
"=MyList" without the quotes. HTH Otto
