When I install 2gig ram (2 x 1gig) on my PC I can no longer open an excel
attachment from an Outlook email. Excel launches but shutsdown as soon as the file opens (takes a while). If I open excel first the file will open. I also have a problem launching any Access db. Access shutdown as soon as the Db opens. I can open access directly but if I start a new DB it shutsdown as soon as I try to use any control. (Not db corruption since brand new db shutsdown) If I remove the 2 gigs and put back the 2x256 megs these problems go away. Any Ideas other then keeping ram under 1 gig? I've tried another PC and different memory but still have the problem. Is there a limit to the Ram that Access 2000 or Excel 2003 (current versions installed) can work on? I've tried single 1 gig memory and still have the problem. Can't see problems in any othe appss so far. |
