Default Text to Columns in Excel 2007

Hi,
I'm trying to import a .txt file into excel.
My regional settings have a comma as decimal separator and dot as thousands
separator.
When I import the txt file I click on advanced, and choose dot as decimal
separator and comma as thousands separator (because the file comes with these
settings).
After that excel imports the file, but discards the choices I've made.
I tried this in excel 2003 and it works fine.
Can someone please try this in excel 2007 and tell me if it works.

thanks
