I am entering dates from the 1800's and 1900's. I want to produce dates as '

Excel does not recognize dates before 1900 as valid dates and will treat them as
text. To work around this see John Walkenbach's site. http://www.j-walk.com/ss/excel/usertips/tip028.htm Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 24 Apr 2008 05:03:01 -0700, Blackarrow143 wrote: I am entering dates from the 1800's and 1900's.
