Pivot table
The pivot table gives the total of columns by default. But I need to see the
difference of one column over the other (in value or percentage), e.g. the growth of sales in 2008 over 2007. Can I do it without having to copy the data on a new sheet and doing it in Excel? |

Pivot table
You could create a Calculated Field within the Pivot Table. Just click on
the drop down list in the Pivot Table Toolbar Formulas Calculated Field. Name it whatever you like and make it equal to the column for 2008 sales minus the column for 2007 sales. Hope this helps. Pivot table
You can use a custom calculation to show the difference from one column
to another. There are instructions in Excel's Help, and he http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot10.html Nadeem wrote: The pivot table gives the total of columns by default.
