How I auto fill a cell patern or color based on a pick list?
Thanks Ken-hup
Apparently your only able to apply one conditional format to a cell. What I'm trying to do is have a cell called day, if that cell value is Monday it's pattern would be Blue, If Cell value = Tuesday then Green, etc.. It's the same cell, just a different value and patern color I want to change based on that value. Thoughts? Depending on which excel you are using, I currently am using 2003 -
Try this colour all cells one colour (e.g. Purple) select column go to Format / Conditional formatting. In box 1 Cell Value is in box 2 equal to in box 3 Monday Select Format and choose colour (e.g Yellow) Now click ADD to get another Condition repeat above etc... If this doesn't give enough options I will think of an alternative "bbjr" wrote: Thanks Ken-hup Apparently your only able to apply one conditional format to a cell.
