When trying to open older Excel spreadsheets I get the following message:
"You are trying to open a flie type that is blocked by your registry policy settings." I didn't know I had registry policy settings. The files I'm trying to open were created in Excel, the only difference is that they were created well before Vista and I now have a Vista OS. Can my spreadsheets be saved? |

This is probably the result of a service patch to Office:

No offense intended but it's possible you didn't to the registry entry
exactly right. See Ron de Bruin's page he http://www.rondebruin.nl/password2007.htm In particular get his Password.reg file and merge it into your registry. -- Jim "neofight4u" wrote in message ...
