I am using Excel and have added a date to a cell. I want to set up some form
of alert on an impending date and wondered whether I could arrange for the
date to change font colour "x" number of days before the date.

on the menu bar..
formatconditional formating
cell value is........less than........=now()-7....pick your format.

for this example, i chose 7(days). change it if needed.
