I am using, from the Data menu, the "text to columns" feature in Excel;
I am copying data from the internet, and the text to columns wizard, correctly, suggests 'fixed-width' in step 1. ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE TEXT TO COLUMNS WIZARD INCORRECTLY OPTS FOR 'DELIMITED' WIDTH IN STEP 1....THEREBY FORCING ME TO INPUT THE VERTICAL LINES FOR THE COLUMNS. This was a SUDDEN change from the norm, as I have been inputting data for days into this spreadsheet. How can I get the "text to columns" wizard to revert back to 'fixed-width' in step 1 of the process...(yes, I can manually override the wizard, but this (inputting the vertical lines) is time consuming)?? Thank you, FLKulchar |
