Default temporary directory files

I have spreadsheets in csv form. I make changes and click on "save as" to
name and save them. But I can't find them. How do I find them? or are they
only temporary like the directory's name says? I can't find them in anything
that's named "Temporary Directory." The original, unchanged spreadsheet is
available, but not my changes.

Default temporary directory files

This can happen if you open files direct from a email atachment. When you
SaveAs... be sure to specify a location that is easy to find, like your
Desktop.
