Default IF(AND) formulas

I am currently using IF(AND) formulas to get limit a numerical number for one
of the cells I have in a work sheet. I have reached the max of 7 allowable
IF formulas, is there a way around this seemingly arbitrary 7 or am I stuck
at & IF formulas?

Probably more than 7 in Excel 2007, but why not tell us what you want to
achieve, and we can see whether anyone here can suggest a way of doing

Unless you have Excel 2007, you cannot have more than 7 nested Ifs. This is
not arbitrary. It's Microsoft's way of telling you there's a better way.

There's always a better way than using nested Ifs. Vlookup if the most
common, but there are others. It depends on the problem you have.

Fred.
