hidden column
hi community
when I hide a column say, Col B, and gave a Protection Sheet command, the protection worked accordingly with the "Unhide" column command dimmed but when I do a selection on the whole worksheet and paste it to another worksheet, the "Unhide" Column command activated back, how am I to hide a Column and Protect it from being "Unhide" even somebody copy and paste to another worksheet? any guide much appreciated thanks community :) -- oldLearner57 |

Excel's protection is not very good - you've discovered one way around
it. You might like to rearrange your worksheet and move that column to an unused area of your worksheet (eg column X) and then hide it, so if a User were to copy the columns s/he can see then they won't be copying the column you have hidden. Not foolproof, though. Hope this helps.
