In Excel 2007:
Select all cells that have the total vehicle mileage in them. Next, under the Home tab, in the Styles group, select Conditional Formatting, and select Highlight Cells Rules. From there it's self- explanatory - pick the option you need. If later there's a need to edit these, go back to Conditional Formatting and select Manage Rules; that will allow you to edit the range to which the formatting rule applies, and the rule itself. Hope this helps. -Ilia On Mar 15, 10:10*pm, "Tyro" wrote: I expect the question to be in the body of the message. Sorry for your being upset. Perhaps a good book on Excel, would take care of 99.9% of the OP's questions. But of course that would require work, as in opening the book and reading. I know it's hard. Since I don't know 2007 I'll leave it to you to explain the process Regards Martin "Tyro" wrote in message .net... Sure. Compute the mileage and use conditional formatting to flag the mileage cell as a certain color when the mileage reaches 40,000. Since you don't do us the courtesy of telling us what version of Excel you are using, all I can tell you is you can find how to do conditional formatting in Excel help Tyro "CC" wrote in message ... I am creating an expense worksheet for sales reps. *Beginning and ending mileage for company cars are entered each week. *Is there a way that Excel can "flag" me once a vehicle reaches a certain mileage, i.e. 40,000 miles ??? |
