I would like to make sure hyperlinked images go with the excel file when it is emailed or transferred to another computer. I have a seperate tab/sheet for each item in a database, and one cell on each sheet links to an image. Have about 30 items to keep track of in this way. I want the links to be straight out of cells, inserting the picture in a sheet is too crude and I would like the user to be able to deal with the list of information in excel and the images seperately - for instance when they print. One method I tried is to put all files in a zip folder and mail that, but modern applications seem to be able to open the excel file without upacking the images, and so the hyperlinks don't work. Another thought is to use the method discussed here about inserting the image into the cell comment, but again that tends to limit the users access to the original image file. Any thoughts? |
