A spreadsheet has objects in certain cells; when I click on them, Acrobat
opens up various PDFs. Looking at the spreadsheet, how can I tell if the objects are linked, or if they are embedded? |

One possibility,
Email it somewhere. Anything that is embedded will go through, anything that is linked will show a dead link. Just a random thought. Martin "JustSomeGuy" wrote in message ... In Excel <=2003, click Edit, Links, from the Menu bar. If it is not
available, you have no links, they are all embeded. If you have links, the files they link to will be listed, hopefully helping you to figure out which of the objects are linked. Also, when linked objects open, the file name of the linked object will be displayed in the title bar. When an embeded object is opened in a separate window, the title bar will list the type of object and the workbook it is embedded in. For example: Acrobat Document in ThisWorkbook. In Excel 2007, click the Data tab and Edit Links in the Connections group. "JustSomeGuy" wrote: A spreadsheet has objects in certain cells; when I click on them, Acrobat opens up various PDFs.
