Use Conditonal Formatting:

Let's say we want to hilight the highest value in row #7. Click on A7 and:
Format Conditional Formatting... FormulaIs =A7=MAX(7:7) and then
pick a highlight colour.

Then copy A7 and paste/special/format across the row.
