I have created a worksheet where I am continually adding to a variety of
columns.
Is there a function I can use to refer a cell to lookup the last cell in a
column with an entry?

here's a couple of formulas for you
non-zeros

=LOOKUP(2,1/(-A1:A10<0),A1:A10)

any numerical value

=INDEX(A1:A10,MATCH(9.99999999999999E+307,A1:A10))
