group/ungroup column/row buttons
You know after you group colums/rows together using Data-Group &
Outline-Group, there are these +/- buttons that let you expand/collapse those grouped columns & rows... I'm not sure what I did but those buttons are no longer showing and the grouped columns & rows now appear as if they were simply hidden. How do I get those buttons to show up again? Thanks. |

In xl2003 menus:

I'm having the same problem as rockhammer with a slight twist. Some of my groups no longer have the + button whilst some continue to show the + button. The hidden rows continue to operate as usual. I've tried the tools/options/view/outline symbols as per your post and this hides or shows the + button for the current visible groups but does not reactivate the groups that are currently hidden. Any help would be appreciated as I can't work out what I've done - this workbook has been in use for ages with no previous problems. Thanks in anticipation. I'd remove the outlining from all the data and reapply it.
