Default Date Conversion

Hello,

I've done a search and not able to find what I need. I need 20080107 to
look like 01-Jan-08. I've tried everything I can think of. Also, doing
format cells gives me #### stating negative dates are displayed as #####.

Thank you!

I need 20080107 to look like 01-Jan-08.

Shouldn't that be 07-Jan-08?

Select the cell(s) in question
Goto the menu DataText to Columns
Click Next twice
Column data format: DateYMD
Click Finish

Now, format the cell(s) in the DATE format of your choice.
