Default Excel 2007 Macro question

I have a parts list that I want to write a macro for that will populate the
price for each entry/part. I know VLookup will work but I dont want to have a
separate master list.
I want the macro to loop through the data and apply the corrcet price(based
on description) to all parts. There are olny 37 parts with a few blank spaces
to be concerned with but there are duplicate entries for some parts.
I am new to Excel and dont know macros at all. I cant even remeber how to
start the data entry part of writing. BUT this project must be done this way.
I have it on Vlookup but that was unexceptable ..
Thanks in advance...
