Default Pivot Table column appear as 0

I created a Pivot Table where everything works except for one column. The
column show the size of products(1CT, 100oz....). I have the field set up to
summarize by MAX. I tried changing the format of this field from General to
Text but that did not do anything. I also tried doing a Text to Column in
the datasheet column for this field, but that did not work either.

Any ideas?

You'll need to separate the value from the unit of measure, with the count in
one column and the unit of measure in the next column. Then you can use the
values to get a max/min and group by unit of measure in your pivot table.

Kevin,

I separated the size(12, 100) and the type(ct, oz..) in my table, but the
type field is still coming up as zeros in my pivot table????

Convert the numbers to real numbers, by using one of the methods shown he

http://www.contextures.com/xlDataEntry03.html

Then, refresh the pivot table, and the sums should appear correctly.
