Default Column Headings

My column headings started to appear as numbers, not letters. Why is this
happening and how may I fix it?

Silly me. I just read Jay's question from 2006. The responses provided by
garfield and Gary solved my problem. Thanks!
Out of curiosity, does the R1C1 get checked?

In Excel 2007, Office Button, Excel options, Formulas, Working with
formulas, uncheck R1C1 reference style.
In Previous versions, Tools/options and you can work your way from there and
uncheck R1C1 reference style
