Default Exported from Access - text has a character before it

Hi I have just exported a databse to Excel

Some of the fields that are text have a character infront

e.g. 'john

how can I get rid of this character - manually is not an option - too many
to do

I tried find and replace for ' but that could not be found

I also tried copy paste special value (as that worked on a different
export - but not on thsi)

Thanks
