Default Multi core and pivot table woes

I had a 2007 excel sheet with about 400,000 rows. Then i have a pivot table
that filters down to about 50,000 rows. When i sort or refresh, it goes into
"Calculating PivotTable report for about 3 to 4 mins. The problem we built a
new machine with dual quad core processors (8 Cores). Task man only show one
of the 8 procs doing the calculations. Any tips or tricks to make this work
or use all the Procs available?
