Default MS Office 2003 file opening problems

When using MS Office 2003 I can't open any files. Excel says that the virus
scanner has detected a problem with the file. Word says the file does not
exist. Even when the file was created using MS Office 2003. Lower versons of
the software open the files without a problem!

I, too am having the same problem. Excel 2003 has been working fine until a
couple of days ago. The only thing I have changed on the computer was
something, and I don't know what did it, that caused me not to have to type
in a password to log on. Changing back to where a password is needed to log
on doesn't help.
