Default export to microsoft excel from IE 7 dropdown

I encounter the same problem. At my machine even no window blinking occurs. I
worked through http://support.microsoft.com/kb/826917/en-us without any
results. Please let me know if you have the solution.

The article applies to Excel not IE so you are more likely to get informed
help from others who are also using Excel. Try posting in an Excel newsgroup.
Cross-posting to one for convenience.

My only suggestion would be to make sure that you are using Default Level
security settings or optionally you could try using Custom Level security
settings set for maximal prompting (e.g. as a diagnostic.)

Good luck

I am using IE7 with Vista Ultimate, when want to export some data from a IE7
window by using the "export to microsoft excel " all that happens is the
window blinks and nothing else happens. I believe it is a security setting in
IE7 but which one i don't know. Could someone please offer some assistance.
