A database created from MS Project contains two fields that I'm using in my
Excel pivot table; year and month. The problem I'm having is that these are actually number and text fields and don't work properly in my pivot table until I conver them to date fields in Excel. I custom format the year as yyyy and the month as mmm. Once I have done that my pivot table works by grouping projects by year and by month. I'd like a workaround so that I don't have to go into Excel and create these two new fields ech time I refresh pivot table data. Any suggestions? |
