Default Sheet protection question

I don't use 2007 but priniciple is the same as earlier versions.

Protect the sheet under ToolsProtectionProtect Sheet.

FormatHideWorksheet.

ToolsProtectionProtect Workbook for Windows and Structure.

Note: Excel's internal security is easily broken si don't use this method if it
essential your data is not viewed.

The general rule is......if you don't want anyone to access it......don't
include it in the workbook.

Thanks but that's not what I need.
I don't want to lock the whole file, only some sheets, some other
sheets are still viewable by everyone.

with the file open...on the menu bar, click filesaveas
on the saveas dialog box, click toolsgeneral options...
here you can enter a passwork to open and a password to modify.
