Macros can live in any workbook or add-in.
Yours were probably in a file named Personal.xls which is stored in your XLSTART folder usually found at................... C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel You would copy that file from old HDD and paste into the XLSTART folder on new computer.
