Default Why color pallete changes?

I have a workbook in which the creator changed color pallete. Every time I
open that workbook, colors in other workbooks change immediatly. How can I
stop it happenning?

Default Why color pallete changes?

To the best of my knowledge there is no way to stop it from happening. XL can
only manage 56 colours at any one time. You can define those to be any 56
colours you choose but you can not expand the list beyond 56. By changing the
colour pallete in one book it changes the pallete of 56 for all of the other
books...

You could change the color scheme on that workbook back to default and save.

Close that workbook.

Create a new workbook which will have the default colors.

Open the offending workbook and go to ToolsOptionsColorCopy colors from.
Select the other book and the offender will be reset to the default.

Save and you should be done with that problem.

Tested in 2003 version.
