Windows in Taskbar not working
Hi All,
Just started recently, Excel 2003's Windows in Taskbar (Tools Options View) option stopped working for me. Even though this box is checked, multiple workbooks still open under one Excel taskbar. I've done the "Detect and Repair" as well as applied Office SP1 patch, still no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks, VT |

Maybe it's a windows setting.
Rightclick on an empty spot on the windows taskbar. Select Properties. On the Taskbar tab, uncheck "group similar taskbar buttons" VT wrote: Hi All, Just started recently, Excel 2003's Windows in Taskbar (Tools Options View) option stopped working for me. I just recently started having the same problem. I can only see the current file's title in the taskbar. If I open another worksheet, the only way I can work on the first worksheet is to click window and then choose the worksheet. I already clicked the detect and repair button and also re-installed microsoft office. The button "group similar taksbar buttons is not checked. Any help would be appreciated!! :) -- bbrowers ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bbrowers's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=18887 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=351893 |

Saved from a previous post...
Is the workbook shared? (A bug in xl2k turns it off for shared workbooks.) You could create a new workbook saved into XLStart (or put this into your personal.xls workbook) and it'll toggle that option each time you open a workbook. In the ThisWorkbook module: Option Explicit Public WithEvents xlApp As Excel.Application Private Sub Workbook_Open() Set xlApp = Application End Sub Private Sub Workbook_Close() Set xlApp = Nothing End Sub Private Sub xlApp_NewWorkbook(ByVal Wb As Workbook) Application.ShowWindowsInTaskbar = True End Sub Private Sub xlApp_WorkbookOpen(ByVal Wb As Workbook) Application.ShowWindowsInTaskbar = True End Sub If you're new to macros, you may want to read David McRitchie's intro at: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm bbrowers wrote: I just recently started having the same problem.
