Hi,
I am developing an application to allow users to export query results as comma delimited CSV results which can be opened in Excel. My issue is when the file is opened in Excel 2007 the Extended characters such as "ÁÜã" appear corrupted though if the file is opened in notepad they appear fine. The excel version I am using is 2007 English version. I have not checked the German version of Excel as yet. There is a workaround whereby a user could import the file into excel and when the correct encoding is selected the characters appear correctly but I would prefer to allow a one step solution rather than the import. I would appreciate any guidance on this as I imagine it is a pretty common query. |
