Default My large numbers are showing up as a formula

I have a spread sheet with very large numbers on it, normally when the cell
shows up as a formula i just make the cell bigger and it fixes it. This time
it won't, i've tried formating it as text, and it works but i have to double
click each cell to change it to a number. There are almost 1400 cells, there
has to be an easier way!!
Please help!

As long as there are no more than 15 digits, then Excel can display it
as a number - Format the cells as a number with 0dp and widen the
column. If you have more digits than this (eg credit card numbers)
then you will have to treat them as text values.

Hope this helps.
