hi, trying to compare text in 2 different cells. seems If $ES$2 has: u0 ux
want to see if either item as a whole exists in a different cell that has for example: f00 gets a true for 0 (zero); the whole item wanted to test for was e.g.: u0, not just 0 for using: ISNUMBER(SEARCH($ES$2,CK9)) having a: u00, want to be true for having: u0 don't know if can test for multiple items (as a whole) or separated by spaces??? in a fixed/ absolute cell. Is there a way to what I am trying to convey? thanks trying to find the shortest way to do this. if ms wanted to, would let them program a 2 letter command to do just such a thing :P; like: IS( OR IN( for internal search string separated by spaces .. skip the errors etc.. |
