Default Sort by font format

I have a user who has formatted cells in different shade/backfill colors or
by other font attributes (e.g., bold) for different reasons, and now wants to
sort (effectively, grouping) by those formats. Can this be done?

TIA,

Steve Vincent

Default Sort by font format

Only through the use of VBA

See Chip Pearson's "Sortbycolor" code.

This link explains how you can sort by colour:

Essentially, you will need a user-defined function to be able to
return the colour (or other) attribute into another column and then
sort by that column.

Hope this helps.

Excel 2007 can sort by color. However, that version is still under construction.
The commercial Excel add-in "Special Sort" (from yours truly) can sort by font
color or by cell interior color... http://www.realezsites.com/bus/primitivesoftware
