S "Lynne" wrote in message S ... ?? I am working on a spread sheet for yearly figures but do ?? not know how to get the columns to add up as I am going ?? along. Could anyone please help with this S Perhaps you could explain what you want to happen. If you S have a formula such as =SUM(A1:A12), this will add up the S cells in the range A1:A12 as you populate them. Presumably this S is not what you want, so we need to understand your S requirement. Are you perhaps trying to get a running total as you add lines in the spreadsheet? In that case, you might want to keep the starting point fixed. In other words, the formula would be =SUM(A$1:A12). Pull down for A13 etc. James Silverton Potomac, Maryland E-mail, with obvious alterations: not.jim.silverton.at.verizon.not |
