I have a workbook that contains a link to external data in SQL Server.
I want to be able to distribute "static" versions of this workbook - so I want to remove the link to the external data. In Excel 2003 this was could be done by deleting the named region corresponding to the external data. In the Excel 2007 help it says to select the named region and then "On the Tools tab, in the External Table Data group, click Unlink. The data range remains, and still bears the same name, but the connection is deleted." This seems straight forward enough, but I can't seem to find the Tools tab or the External Data group. So how do I delete the link to the external data? Thanks in advance. Regards, Ron -- Regards, Ron |
