xl security is not that great. there are a number of third party freeware that will crack passwords. http://www.mcgimpsey.com/excel/removepwords.html http://www.cpearson.com/excel/password.htm here are 2. do a google. youl'll find more. regards FSt1 "Centrol" wrote: I forget my password to a very important file.
