Make sure that every row contains a header for the information that you want
in the combined row and start cutting and pasting. Not a job for the faint of heart. Always cut and paste or it will screw up your formulas. Or you could set it up for a down and dirty database, link everything into Access and then export a single new file. Hopefully it will export the correct formulas, unlinked to the other sheets. Another way would be to save blank spreadsheets to the server in a hidden location and make sheet1A1 equal to old workbook 1.xls and drag the corner forever, do the same with sheet 2 and three. Just depends on what your trying to accomplish. God Bless Frank Pytel "cj" wrote: My supervisor wants me to combine many Excel files into one Excel file. These files have different column headings. How do I combine these files into one file? Please help. I have a seriously tight deadline and haven't a clue how to perform this task. Thank you for your consideration. -- cj |
