Default Format Painter Column Width

When I copy formatting using Format Painter in Excel 2007, it is not copying
the width of the columns. Can I change this?

It always worked for me on 2003. This was one of my biggest time savers.

Works for me in 2003 only if I select entire column then paint to entire column.

Is that what you are doing?
