Default Only one worksheet in a workbook is available for viewing.

My workbook had 5 tabs for worksheets. Now only one worksheet is available
for viewing or selecting, and it does not have a tab at the bottom. What
could have happened to the tabs and additional worksheets?

Try:

Tools Options View and see if the check mark is still in "Sheet tabs"

There are a series of left and right arrows just to the left of your
worksheet tabs. Make sure it hasn't simply scrolled over...

Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the View tab. There, make sure
that the "Sheet Tabs" checkbox (in the lower right) is checked.

No, that is not it. The tabs do not show, at all. Also, the down arrow on
the right side of the page has disapppeared as well and I have to repeatedly
press the enter key in order for the bottom of the page to come into view.

Maybe those tabs and scrollbar are just outside the visible screen.

Window|arrange|tiled
(and manually resize the way you want)
