Macro for calculating
Hi,
please find below an example of the sheet that i'm working on: ABC -1,493,802.08 ABC 1,493,802.08 DEF 1,877,918.50 DEF -1,877,918.50 i) what i'm looking for is: by clicking on a macro, it should verify the first column, wherein the names should be same. ii) the second column should then be verified and if the second column has a +ve & a -ve number (both same) then it should give me : DONE please help.. regards, dd |

Macro for calculating
Maybe you could use:
Data|subtotals and subtotal by that first column. Then you could use the outlining symbols on the left to hide the details. If you see a non-zero on the subtotal line, you know that there's a difference. Try turning the macro recorder on when you do it manually.
