Macro for calculating

Hi,

please find below an example of the sheet that i'm working on:

ABC -1,493,802.08
ABC 1,493,802.08
DEF 1,877,918.50
DEF -1,877,918.50

i) what i'm looking for is: by clicking on a macro, it should verify the
first column, wherein the names should be same.

ii) the second column should then be verified and if the second column has a
+ve & a -ve number (both same)

then it should give me : DONE

please help..

regards,

dd

Maybe you could use:

Data|subtotals
and subtotal by that first column.

Then you could use the outlining symbols on the left to hide the details. If
you see a non-zero on the subtotal line, you know that there's a difference.

Try turning the macro recorder on when you do it manually.

You'll see the code you need.
